Tell us about yourself.
Fay and Bob moved here in October 2008 from St. Paul MN. We are in our late 50's and semi retired.

Bob worked for 15 years as a computer network engineer for ING (an insurance company) and IBM. He currently works part time as a network consultant to ING. Bob likes to get his exercise by swimming laps. Bob is also a Vietnam veteran.

Up until 2003 Fay worked for 25 years at the University of Minnesota managing their food services and the last decade as a Technology Manager for Housing and Dining Services. Fay has a company called U Succeed and she does affordable web sites for small companies and businesses. Fay likes fairies, water aerobics and might try yoga or tai chi again. Fay wrote a book with her mother in law Helen. It is called My Light at the End of the Tunnel: The journey from an abandoned child and abused wife to a loved woman. Fay is an only child and Bob has a younger sister in MN and an older sister in Ft. Myers FL. His mom and step dad still live in MN.  We have no children.

We like to travel, mostly in the US. Fay is trying to learn to paint, do card stamping, make soap and paint. Bob likes puttering around the house and will be finishing off part of our lower level.

What skills and knowledge can you and your family share with your community?
We are a couple of geeks. We say we have the perfect marriage. Fay loves software and Bob loves hardware so if you need help with your Windows computers or home network give us a call. We are willing to house sit, water plants, feed, pet and talk to birds, cats, fish. Don’t have much experience with dogs, although we like them. If you need to know more about writing a book, having a web site or blog give Fay a call.

How can the community help you and your family?
A few times a year we need someone to come and feed and pet our cat and keep an eye on the house and the plants. Bob is looking for a high school or college student to help with yard work like putting down pine mulch and minor construction work as we finish off the lower level. We also need someone to mow the lawn. There is a very steep grade in the back so that is a challenge.

Are you interested in helping to plan occasionally community events?
Yes. If there is someway using technology could help the community I would work on that also. I would also be interesting in hosting a spa day this winter for the ladies in the neighborhood.
