This book is a fabulous example of how an impossible situation can turn out with a happy ending. I was unable to put this book down once I started. Helen's story is inspiring and touching. I give her immense credit for pulling through and making the best out of life.

This book is based on the life of my aunt. To me this book was extremely enlighting. I enjoyed the book and the true stories that you see on tv are not the same. With this book it has given me the opportunity to know more about the roots of my family and what they endured when they were growing up.

Who needs to watch the reality shows on television these days when there are books to read like My Light at the End of the Tunnel? Helen's life story is full of amazing things that happen and the equally amazing woman that emerges from that life struggle. Her positive attitude and love of family shine throughout. |
