How The Books Came To Be

In 2005 Helen and Fay worked together to create Helen's first book called My Light at the End of the Tunnel.  In 2008 Helen and Ed moved to Hazelridge Senior Living Community in Maplewood, MN.  Helen loves living there but remembers her and Ed's concerns about making the move.  She wanted to write a book that would help them understand how wonderful this new stage in their life could be.   The new book is Living with the Hazelnuts and Loving Every Minute.  The 25 page large print electronic book is available on this web site.

The making of My Light at the End of the Tunnel.

For years I have been telling people bits and pieces of my life story and many have said to me "Helen, you should write a book".

In October 2002 my children had a big birthday party for me and Fay put together a special life story gift (PDF file) for me and that must have gotten her thinking about my book.  A few weeks later we were together, and Fay said "I will help you write your book, if you really want to do it. I am retired now and have the time, and ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to write".

That was the beginning. Fay had many good friends in the Real Power Network that encouraged her and Sharron Stockhausen, a friend of Fay's, has a publishing company, expertpublishinginc.com.  Fay and I started with Sharron and her husband Harry and now my book will soon be a reality.
